How to Learn English Easily Through Comic Books [Two Kinds]

Hello My Friends!

I know it is really hard to study English every day, especially when you are studying long and boring textbooks, right? But, it is important to remember that in order to learn language well you should study at least 10 minutes each day… so what can you do? How about read some COMIC BOOKS! Yay! If you want to learn faster, try using CLNotes to study the comic books too.

First, I want to come back to what I said a moment ago about reading for “10 minutes a day.”

There has been a lot of research on doing something called “10 minutes a day of SSR (sustained silent reading)” and it has shown that just quietly reading something (that is not too hard and not too easy in your target language) for 10 minutes a day is one of the best ways to learn a new language!

One of the major reasons for this are that it makes you be more consistent with your studies. I don’t know about you, but this is one of the biggest challenges that I have. As much as I love learning language, it is really hard to do it every single day. I usually get around this by watching TV shows, dramas, listening to music etc. However, if you can actually get to read something every day that is the best way to improve your English!

It is really fortunate for people learning English because there are so many free reading resources for practice, including my favourite, comic books! Comic books may have pictures and be fun, but don’t forget that they are still BOOKS. Therefore they would still count if you want to use them to practice reading and improving your English.

I stumbled across the comic “Two-Kinds” the other day for the first time in I think 10 years or so. It is just as funny and engaging as it was when I read it last time, and I would recommend it to anyone as fun reading material.

Also, like I mentioned in the video, it is a lot easier to do your 10 minutes a day with a program like CLNotes that helps you learn the vocabulary that you don’t understand and quiz you on it later. If you don’t have an account yet send me an e-mail (the e-mail account is listed on YouTube) that includes your Name and I will make an account for you.

Remember, learn smarter, not harder!
