Hello My Friends!

I don’t know why but in many movies these days aliens seem to want to conquer our world. What is so good about earth that all of the aliens want to take it? Today we are talking about conquering and taking over worlds and countries! We will talk about vocabulary like conquer, ferocious, betray, puny, and escalate! Here are some exercises for you guys to practice the vocabulary and grammar with! The answers are written at the bottom of the page.

Exercise 1: Vocabulary Word Replacing

Exercise 2: Fill the Correct Grammar in the Blank Space

1. Emphasising superlative adjectives.
Emphasise the following sentences using the grammar we learned today:
a. Mount Everest is a tall mountain on earth.

b. That is a fast car.

c. She is a kind girl.

2. To-infinitives after superlative adjectives
(Remember, when using to-infinitives in a present/past-tense sentence the initial verb will be in present tense root form.
(eg. was -> be, is -> be, were-> be, are->be) In relative clause the verb will always follow the tense of the first clause.

Change the following superlative relative clause sentences into one using the to-infinitive.

a. Sir Edmund Hilary was the most interesting person who climbed Mount Everest.

b. Adam is by far the most dedicated YouTuber who makes English lessons.

c. Tesla cars are easily the most fuel efficient cars that are on the road.
