IELTS/TOEFL Vocabulary Builder: dew, fluffy, join, muddy, ring

Hello Everyone!

Today we are continuing with some more vocabulary building! While today’s vocabulary are the easiest in terms of difficulty, it is still good to practice learning and reviewing your vocabulary every day! Also, don’t forget to check out the vocabulary context clues game at the end of the video!


Here are our vocabulary for the day:


Noun: tiny drops of water that form on cool surfaces at night. On a spring morning the grass and leaves are covered with dew.


Verb: To be soft, puffy, covered with fluff. The clouds in the sky are big, white, and fluffy.


Verb: To participate or take part in something, link, or connect something. Tonight I will join my friends for dinner.


Adjective: Covered in or full of mud (wet dirt). I walked in the field after it rained and now my shoes are muddy.

Verb: To cover something or make something full of mud (wet dirt). Some children came into my house with their muddy boots on and muddied my floor.


Noun: a small circular band, typically of precious metal and often set with one or more gemstones, worn on a finger I gave my girlfriend a gold wedding ring when I proposed to her. Verb: To sound a bell. I rang the door bell to let him know I arrived.
